We milk 600 cows once a day near Mangonui Northland. Our Kwikkold ice bank has been installed for two seasons. It has proved to be reliable and efficient with milk snap chilled to 5 degrees.
I've been very impressed with it. All the work is done on night rate power and I hardly ever hear our vat chiller unit working.
When we shut the vat inlet valve off at the end of milking it is procedure to check the milk temperature. It is always below 5 Degrees.Clive Walden

We have had an ice bank installed by Kwikkold on our dairy farm. We were very pleased with the professional service and honesty in providing information as to the costs and requirements of our cowshed. What was promised was provided in a timely manner and the follow up technical service has been very thorough too. We have been running the KwikKold ice bank unit for the 16/17 season. We manage a 700 cow dairy unit which currently produces 290,000 ms per year.
To date the KwikKold unit has dramatically reduced our electricity account, with its smart heat recovery system. The kwikKold allows our milk to enter the vat within the guid lines set out in Fonterra's recommendations.
To date system has saved us on average $450 per month The KwikKold system is easy to manage and is serviced by Phil and the team at KwikKold with out a problem.
